Why are we doing this program? What is the objective of the campaign?
We believe that this campaign fits perfectly with our church mission, to turn ordinary people into POWER filled followers of Christ.
We are excited that every demographic, and every person, no matter the location on their spiritual journey, will be touched deeply by these 6 short weeks.
What do current small groups and adult Sunday School classes do during the campaign?
All current small groups and adult SS classes will take a 6 week break for the purpose of concentrating on the 40 Days Small Groups. Although, groups may want to meet for prayer, food, and/or hang-out time.
Can people still be involved if they cannot attend the 40 Days of Purpose Kickoff Worship service on April 3rd?
Yes, the kick off service on Sunday, April 3rd is just the beginning.
Are the Small Groups in the Host Homes an alternative to Sunday morning worship?
The Small Group meetings in Host Homes are not an alternative to weekly worship services. In addition to small group participation, we will ask people to commit to attending the six worship services of the 40 Days of Purpose on Sunday mornings at 9 or 10:45 AM.
When it begins, will we discuss one chapter of the book each week in our Small Group?
The discussion will be based on the small group presentation. The daily chapter readings will help us prepare for our small group discussions, as well as worship services. The daily readings will also help in your personal devotional time.
How do people get connected and placed into a Host Home Small Group?
There are 3 ways to sign up:
1. Through this web site anytime.
2. At “Grand Central” on Sunday morning in the courtyard.
