Sunday Life Stage Groups

Pastor Dan King (480) 515-4673

There are certain times in life when a person feels like they need to connect with others who may be going through some of the same issues they are. This is the purpose of our Life-Stage Classes.

9:00 am :: Cottonwood Room

Contact David or Jessica Bein via email.

9:00 AM :: Prescott Room :: 03.05.17-06.25.17

A gathering of parents who have middle and high school students who together are learning biblical skills for raising teenagers, strengthening marriages/relationships and growing in their relationship with Christ.

Andrew and Alexis Payne or Thom and Carol O’Neal

True faith produces fruit. A faith without action and without life change is ultimately a dead faith. The book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who’ve faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God. Please join us as we walk through James with Francis Chan. Francis works through James verse-by-verse, challenging followers of Christ to move beyond a private, intellectual knowledge of God and His Word, to a vibrant faith that impacts every square inch of life. Learning to be strong followers of Christ, parents have an opportunity to walk through life with other parents and learn how to talk to and teach our children about Christ. Please join us….yes, we are talking to you.

9:00 AM :: Flagstaff Room

A life stage class designed for adults who are without kids, or with kids who have moved out of the nest. But we are more than that – we are family and we love doing ‘life’ together! Won’t you join us!

Current Study: If

If is a powerful little word. Some people are stuck in “if only,” trudging through lives marked with regret. But God wants us to live lives marked with possibilities, with the “what if” attitude that looks forward to the future with confidence. Why? Because the answer to “If God is for us, who can be against us?” is “No one.” God is always on our side. Every day, in every way. With his trademark enthusiasm and contagious joy, Mark Batterson helps us overcome feelings of guilt, fear, and doubt because in Christ there is no condemnation. Unpacking the promises of Romans 8, he shows us that we are more than conquerors—right now and forever. And because of that, the possibilities for our lives are limitless.

Is He Coming?

50% of Muslims believe Jesus will come back in their life time – 12% of evangelical Christians believe the same thing. We will be doing a six week study in the book of Revelation. Is Jesus coming back soon? How can we know? What does the Bible say?

Now Dr. Tim Kimmel, founder of Family Matters ministries, offers a refreshing new look at parenting. Rejecting rigid rules and checklists that don’t work, Dr. Kimmel recommends a parenting style that mirrors God’s love, reflects His forgiveness, and displaces fear as a motivator for behavior. As we embrace the grace God offers, we begin to give it-creating a solid foundation for growing morally strong and spiritually motivated children.

Current Study: Breaking the Bondage of Sin

This series will help the believer understand that they are completely and totally free from the bondage of sin and death. Sin does not have to be a struggle in the believers lives because whom the Son sets free is indeed free. Live the life of freedom in Christ.

Do you ever wonder if and how we can really believe the Bible to be true? Do you ever wonder if we can know for sure if we’re going to heaven? Then this class may be for you. In the course of 6 to 7 weeks, we’ll hit several common questions about God, faith, the church and the Bible.

One of the basic distinctives in this course is fun. Yes, fun. It’s NOT a formal lecture. Rather, it’s fun and interactive. So whether you’re one who enjoys talking or one who would rather sit and take it all in, you will most likely enjoy this casual learning environment.

Did you know that God has uniquely wired you to make a difference for Him in the church and in your world? During our S.H.A.P.E. class you will learn your unique S.H.A.P.E. and where to use it.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS – What has God supernaturally gifted me to do?
God gives you spiritual gifts to use in ministry. (1 Corinthians 12; Romans 8; Ephesians 4).
HEART – What do I have passion for and love to do?
The Bible teaches that your heart determines why you say the things you do, why you feel the way you do, and why you act the way you do. (Proverbs 4:23)
ABILITIES – What natural talents and skills to I have?
These are natural talents God gives you so you can accomplish His purposes. In Exodus 31:3, God gives “skill, ability, and knowledge in all kinds of crafts…”
PERSONALITY – Where does my personality best suit me to serve?
Your personality affects the way you use your gifts. For instance, two people may have the gift of evangelism, but if one is introverted and the other is extroverted, that gift will be expressed differently.
EXPERIENCES – What spiritual/painful/educational/ministry experiences have I had?
There are five common experiences that influence your service to others
educational, vocational, spiritual, ministry, and painful experiences.

If you have questions about how to support leadership, whether God may be calling you to be a leader, or what does God expect of leaders in the church, you will benefit greatly from this study on Paul’s Words to a young leader in a local church.
