Dear North Ridge Family,
Do you like hanging out with fun and funny people? If you do, you’re not alone! In March, 2017 Accountemps conducted a survey of over 2,200 CFOs and asked them how important it was for employees in their companies to have a sense of humor. Seventy-eight percent of the respondents said “an employee’s sense of humor is at least somewhat important for fitting into the company’s corporate culture” with 22% stating humor is very important. That makes sense! Given the choice of who you’d want to do life with, the vast majority would pick the fun one over the dry guy!
The Bible tells us that fun is functional in both our personal as well as our professional worlds. In fact, Romans 12:12 calls us to be “joyful in hope” within the context of our closest relationships. What role does happiness play in getting along with others? How can we turn the joy level up in our life and relationships? Join us this Sunday (10/8/17) as we hit week five in our seven week series called “Love Handles”. This week we will look at six secrets Gods guys need to know to generate joy in their most important relationships. In addition, we’d love to invite anyone who’s kind of new to North Ridge to stop by for our Newcomer Reception after the 9:00 am service or our Newcomer Lunch after the 10:30 am service.
Well, I’d better hit the road. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and that you and your crew will join us this Sunday at North Ridge. It’s such a blessing for me to learn these lessons together with you as we grow into what Jesus wants us to be.
Sure Do Love You,

Nehemiah 8:10-11 Nehemiah said “…. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Psalm 9:1-2 I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing the praises of Your name, O Most High.
Isaiah 43:18-19 Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Proverbs 17:21-22 To have a fool for a child brings grief; there is no joy for the parent of a godless fool. A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Hebrews 12:1b-2 And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
