Missions & Outreach

Come join the adventure!

From the shores of Spain, deep into the heart of Africa, throughout exotic Asia, to the jungles of South America, and right here in our own backyard, God's Word is being proclaimed! Families are being healed. Lives are being changed and the Good News of God's love is being shared with all peoples and nations.

Journey with us as we join our missionaries, each in the field where God has drawn them and learn what He is doing in the lives of the peoples to whom they minister. Join the adventure and discover how you, the people of Northridge, are touching the lives of people throughout the world!

 FOOTHILLS CARING CORPS
If you have an hour or more per week to spare, YOU could make a huge difference in the lives of our elderly, disabled, and homebound neighbors.  The Foothills Caring Corps is a FREE service, providing transportation to and from medical appointments, grocery shopping, friendly phoning, visiting, respite care, Meals-On-Wheels, and small home repairs to our neighbors in need.  There are various kinds of volunteer assignments available depending upon your time availability.

 FOOTHILLS CARING CORPS
If you have an aging parent, friend, or family member that needs caring assistance because the care giving family works or doesn't have the resources to do everything, the Foothills Caring Corp can help.  We are a FREE service available to all elderly, disabled, and homebound folds who could use a visit from a friendly face during the day, or even just a ride to the grocery store or doctor.

 WHEELS FOR THE WORLD
Do you have a new/used, broken, or out-dated wheelchair?  Know someone who does?  Wheels for the World, a Joni and Friends Organization, is restoring and distributing chairs to third world countries.  The recipients of the refurbished chairs are children and adults living in isolation, lacking simple mobility, and removed from society.  Offered with every wheelchair is a Bible in their own language and the good new that Jesus Christ loves and values each one of us regardless of our abilities or disabilities.  We could happily use walkers, crutches and canes also, as long as their made from aluminum.

MEALS ON WHEELS
This program is available through the Foothills Caring Corps to ANYONE who has difficulty preparing a meal.  Meals cost $5.75 each and are delivered Monday through Friday from 11:30 to 1pm.  Meals can be ordered by contacting Cheryl Kirst at (480) 488-1105.  If financial assistance is needed for these meals, call the Area Agency on Aging at (602) 264-4357 to see if you qualify.
