Dear North Ridge Family,
Where is the best place to find your purpose? In a book? On a mountain top? In a philosophy class? Nope, nope and nope! When it comes to finding and following God’s purpose for your life, the best place is often the worst place! What does that mean?! It means we often discover our primary purpose when we find ourselves on the roughest roads. But just experiencing tough times doesn’t guarantee a meaningful life. To become “purposeful peeps” we need to see what God’s Word has to say about extreme difficulty.
I hope you’ll join us this Sunday (8/13) as we continue our summer series called At The Movies. This week’s feature film is both a tear jerker and a nail biter that talks about the relationship between our purpose and our pain. In week three, we will talk about six things you need to know to navigate the rough roads of life and find and follow God’s purpose. As a special treat, my remarkable friend Jany Deng (who was the consultant on and inspiration for the movie “The Good Lie” with Reese Witherspoon) will be sharing his story of faith, hope and courage with us. I guarantee his story will move you to tears and motivate you to act.
Please don’t miss this! It’s going to be such a great week that you will regret not being there. Also, be sure to invite a friend as we’re once again giving out movie passes to our guests! Speaking of our guests, if you’re new to North Ridge we want to get to know you better so come on by for this Sunday’s Newcomer Social after our 9:00 AM (Sedona Rm) and 10:30 AM (Forum/JHM Rm) services. (RSVP HERE)
OK, time for this bird to fly! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I can’t wait to see you and your crew on Sunday.
Sure Do Love You,
