The way to Heaven may be
easier than you think!
6Jesus said, "I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me.” (John 14:6)
Good works is not the answer.
8Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It's God's gift from start to finish! 9We don't play the major role. If we did, we'd probably go around bragging that we'd done the whole thing! (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Trust Jesus Christ today! Here's what you must do:
- Admit you are a sinner.
23Since we've compiled this long and sorry record as sinners (both us and them) and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us. (Romans 3:23)
12You know the story of how Adam landed us in the dilemma we're in--first sin, then death, and no one exempt from either sin or death. (Romans 5:12)
10If we claim that we've never sinned, we out-and-out contradict God--make a liar out of him. A claim like that only shows off our ignorance of God. (1 John 1:10)
- Be willing to turn from sin (repent).
5Not at all. Unless you turn to God, you too will die." (Luke 13:5)
30"God overlooks it as long as you don't know any better--but that time is past. The unknown is now known, and he's calling for a radical life-change. (Acts 17:30)
- Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead.
16"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. (John 3:16)
8But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatsoever to him. (Romans 5:8)
9Say the welcoming word to God--"Jesus is my Master"--embracing, body and soul, God's work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That's it. You're not "doing" anything; you're simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That's salvation. (Romans 10:9)
- Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior.
10With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: "God has set everything right between him and me!" (Romans 10:10)
13"Everyone who calls, ‘Help, God!' gets help." (Romans 10:13)
What to pray:
Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior. Amen.
12But whoever did want him, who believed he was who he claimed and would do what he said; He made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves. (John 1:12)
17Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Now what?
- Read your Bible every day to get to know Christ better.
15Concentrate on doing your best for God, work you won't be ashamed of, laying out the truth plain and simple. (2 Timothy 2:15)
105By your words I can see where I'm going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. (Psalms 119:105)
- Talk to God in prayer every day.
22Absolutely everything, ranging from small to large, as you make it a part of your believing prayer, gets included as you lay hold of God." (Matthew 21:22)
6Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. (Philippians 4:6)
- Be baptized, worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached and the Bible is the final authority.
19Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
16Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another--showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way. (2 Timothy 3:16)
- Tell others about your experience with Jesus Christ.
15Then he said, "Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God's good news to one and all. (Mark 16:15)
16If I proclaim the Message, it's not to get something out of it for myself. I'm compelled to do it, and doomed if I don't! (1 Corinthians 9:16)
16It's news I'm most proud to proclaim, this extraordinary Message of God's powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts him, starting with Jews and then right on to everyone else! (Romans 1:16)
