Prayer Shawl Ministry - Reaching Those in Need
"You created every part of me, knitting me in my mother's womb. For such handiwork, I praise You. Awesome this great wonder." Psalm 139: 13-14
Whether they are called Prayer Shawls, Comfort Shawls, Peace Shawls, or Mantles, etc., the shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient. The intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. Upon completion, a final blessing is offered before the shawl is sent on its way. Some recipients have continued the kindness by making a shawl and passing it onto someone in need. Thus, the blessing ripples from person-to-person, with both the giver and receiver feeling the unconditional embrace of a sheltering, mothering God! If you would like to help with this ministry or know someone who could be blessed by receiving a prayer shawl, please contact Mitzi (602) 413-7078.

Herbs said to deter moths are wormwood, cotton lavender, mugwort, costmary, chrysanthemum flowers, rue, and tansy.
Anybody else suddenly think that gardening might be a good companion hobby to knitting?
Stephanie Pearl-McPhee
Anybody else marveling at how God created the world to live in harmony? We have trees to help us breath and we help them to live. God created such harmony is nature. What one animal or plant does helps out the earth, even the bad stuff. I was trying to explain to my kids the other day that the coyotes that we have are actually good, because they keep the population of rabbits and mice down. My son was sad though, because he likes watching the cute little bunnies, but without the coyotes, we would have too many.
Thank you God for the good and the seemingly bad things that you have created or happen to us. Help us to see that You can work EVERYTHING for the good.
